Saturday I went for a smaller hike with April and Julia. It was just lovely! I've driven past Fall River, on Hwy 40, but I'd never seen it. So last weekend I decided to go do the hike along the banks of the river. It was a relatively easy hike...but I just need miles right now! :) Here's the
day use area...look how clear the water is! I bet it's fabulous in the summer.
And there's a lovely bridge that goes over the river. The trail is on this side, but on the other is a short walk to a bench with a great view of the river. Have I said yet that is was just lovely? :)
We came
across this interesting tree root. It's huge too. It's taller than I am! :) All it needed was a marmot or something poking his head out.
